The Philadelphia Business Journal reports that a new indoor pickleball complex, named Players Courtyard, is set to open in Moorestown, South Jersey, in September 2023. The complex, occupying 40,000 square feet of a 52,000-square-foot building, will feature 13 indoor courts, a four-court indoor training center, a pro shop, and a private party room.
Pickleball here in South Jersey is exploding. There just aren’t enough facilities to accommodate the flood of new players. Players Courtyard is not only an answer to a prayer, it’s a dream come true.
– Denise Donald, South Jersey Pickleball founder
The facility will be fully heated and air-conditioned, with LED lighting throughout. Future plans include the addition of 15 to 18 outdoor courts, areas for bocce and cornhole, and a brewery. The complex will offer three levels of membership, with prices ranging from $199 to $899 annually. The higher-priced memberships will include perks such as advanced reservations, contract court time, special discounts, and early event notifications. The complex will also host tournaments, leagues, and special events.
